Chairman of the Board – Board of Trustee Scholarship

This scholarship is open to first-year students. Awards are based on academic ability; an assessment of talents, experience, and potential; and a holistic review of how a student might contribute to a diverse educational environment. Preference will be given to students from one of New Jersey’s Abbott School Districts, students who are traditionally underrepresented, or to students who have shown interest in an area of study that the College believes will contribute to its overall mission. Accepted candidates will automatically be considered for these scholarships, which range from $4,500 to $10,000 annually for four consecutive years as long as the student maintains a 3.0 GPA.


Community Leaders Scholarship

This service-based scholarship recognizes exemplary previous achievement and supports commitment to continued service and community leadership. Scholarship funding varies from 2-4 years with awards as high as full tuition. Scholarship is renewable annually at the discretion of the Director of the Community Leaders program.  Participation in the program includes community service (up to 300 hours a year), as well as co-curricular and curricular opportunities that develop skill as a citizen and community leader. The Ellen Knowles Harcourt Scholarship

This scholarship is for students who have established a record of achievement despite having endured unusually difficult life circumstances. Applicants should show extreme financial need along with the qualities of intellect and character that will enable them to be leaders in their community. Department Scholarships in Engineering and Music

First-year students are eligible for departmental scholarships within the School of Engineering and the Department of Music. Accepted students will automatically be considered for these scholarships. Decisions are made by the departments and are contingent upon students continuing in those areas during their four years of study. Inquiries about the scholarships can be directed to either the School of Engineering at 609-771-2529 or the School of the Arts and Communication at 609-771-2551.


Army ROTC

The College of New Jersey Army ROTC offers four-year, tuition-and-fees scholarships. Awardees will receive additional spending money and a one-time housing credit for the first semester. Air Force ROTC
