Monitoring the Workforce for EEO Compliance

Working with the Human Resources Department, this Office monitors the demographic make up of the institution.

Providing Inclusion Training

This Office is responsible for the design, delivery and assessment of training to create an inclusive campus climate. Additionally, this office arranges for the required initial training entitled "TCNJ: Creating Our Inclusive Community." Training opportunities exist for newly hired employees as well as refresher courses for existing employees. Training is offered to employees, managers and supervisors. Students will also have an opportunity for inclusion training.

Managing the ADA Reasonable Accommodation Requests Process

This area of responsibility includes monitoring and reporting ADA Reasonable Accommodation requests as well as reporting the status of all requests. This office also handles training faculty, supervisors and managers in recognizing requests. Accommodation appeals are also handled though this office. For additional information regarding Reasonable Accommodation Requests go to: http://www.tcnj.edu/~wellness/disability/.

Disseminating EEO/AA Information

This Office ensures that anti-discrimination policy and procedures, and other EEO-related policies are properly posted. This includes having applicable posters in buildings and other locations throughout campus.

An additional focus of the Office of Affirmative Action EEO & Inclusion is to direct programs and initiatives to create an inclusive campus community.
