The Department of Art offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, and Digital Arts, and the Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) in Art Education and Art History. Students have the opportunity to work with a faculty whose work is represented in publications, textbooks, galleries, and exhibits worldwide.

The Department of Communication Studies offers the Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. Students enrolled in the program may select one of three concentrations (i.e.,content areas): organizational/interpersonal communication, public/mass communication, and radio/television/film.

The Department of Music offers the Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance and in Music Education. The music faculty is complemented by artist teachers who have distinguished themselves as performers in the Philadelphia and New York area.

The Interactive Multimedia major offers an innovative program, one of the first undergraduate majors in this emerging discipline, leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree in Interactive Multimedia, with specializations in Interactive Computing, Digital Media, and Professional Writing.


In each department and program area, students develop their skills and knowledge within the rich context of the liberal arts. Graduates are prepared for professional-level employment or to pursue graduate studies.
