This Week's Business is a resource for business students and faculty, listing up-coming events both on-campus and in the academic and business communities.  It is updated weekly during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Orientation

Whether you are a first-year student or transferring into The College of New Jersey, welcome to the School of Business. Please use the following guide as you register for your Fall classes:

  • TESS - Search for available classes and register here. If you don't know your student ID#, use your SSN#.  Your PIN number = birthday as "YYMMDD."
  • First Seminar Program - View FSP courses here.
  • Liberal Learning Courses - This is a searchable list of all approved Liberal Learning courses at TCNJ.  Not all will be offered this coming semester.
  • Course Descriptions - View course descriptions from the Undergraduate Bulletin here.
  • Becoming a Business Major - Open Options Business students can change their major in the School of Business in the Fall, between September 15 and October 1 or in the Spring, between February 15 and March 3.
  • Minor Program Planners - A minor consists of 5 courses, and can easily fit most schedules, using elective credits. 
  • Resources for Business Students - View the Advising Resource Book and other information for Business students here.

NJCBAANew Jersey Collegiate Business Administration Association Honor Society Induction Ceremony

On May 2nd, 3 TCNJ senior business students ranked in the top 1% of their class were inducted into the New Jersey Collegiate Business Administration Association Honor Society, at the New Jersey State House.

Dan Ragan, Cliffs of Moher in County Clare of IrelandStudy Abroad - From fall 2007 through the summer of 2008, 36 business students took advantage of the opportunity to study abroad in diverse locations ranging from Central and South America, to Europe and Australia. Students who wish to post highlights of their experience, should submit quotes and photos to Patty Karlowitsch, karlowit@tcnj.edu.

 

 

 


Junior finance majors rank at the PBL National Leadership Conference
At the June 2008 Phi Beta Lambda Conference, Mira Shah placed 7th in the nation in Financial Concepts and Shannon McGhee placed 10th in the nation in Financial Analysis and Decision Making. Congratulations!


2nd Annual Dean's Alumni Networking Night - On May 8th, Interim Dean Jack V. Kirnan, welcomed School of Business alumni to a networking event in the Rathskellar.  See details here.
