Clay: an environment promoting and enabling concurrent remote editing of various document types. The 1.2 stable version will be available shortly, probable release date May 1, 2002. Most of the beta releases are really alpha code, as witnessed by the fact that Clay doesn't fully compile until v1.1.7. :-) Clay 1.1.9 is the current development and demo release. The Clay 1.2.x family will be bug releases and upgrades for the 1.2 release. The Clay 1.3.x family will be reimplementation of the backend, and integration of LDAP/JNDI services. In addition, the transport protocol will switch from Java RMI to Java & SOAP. This development version will look to address scalebility, stability, reliability, and security issues that are discovered as development progresses or as detailed in the project plan and design specifications. Clay 1.4 is the target stable production release of the LDAP and SOAP changes. Several other fine Java products are useful for supporting Clay, especially the XML processing abilities and JDBC drivers. We have these JAR files available as a conveinance, and are not re-distributing them per se. The versions we have on this website work with Clay and are released under various licenses. Clay is released in cooperation with these licenses. Read the license page for more details.
