1. Joining CUB

1.1 When are CUB’s Meetings?
Wednesdays at 3pm in Student Center room 211.

1.2 How can I join CUB?
Come to one of our meetings! New members are always welcome.

1.3 I can’t make your meetings. Can I still get involved?
Email cub@tcnj.edu to join our mailing list. You can also come talk to the CUB executive board members in our office which is on the 2nd floor of the Brower Student Center in the Office of Campus Life. We’re usually here in the afternoons.

2. CUB Structure

2.1 What is the Multi-Cultural Program Board?
The Multi-Cultural Program Board is an advisory board consisting of one member from Asian American Association, Black Student Union, GUTS@TCNJ, Islamic Society, Jewish Student Union and Union Latina. Its purpose is to bring members of diverse organizations together to keep them informed about each others’ events as well as to evaluate CUB’s efforts in diversity programming.

2.2 I want to be an Event Coordinator. How can I do that?
Elections are held in March/April for the upcoming academic year. All executive board positions are up for reelection. An election will be held in September for a Freshman Event Coordinator. Elections may be held throughout the year upon resignations. To become an Event Coordinator, Rat-Chair, Graphic Artist, Finance Director or Director, you can obtain an application from the CUB office or at one of our meetings during the application period. Any undergraduate TCNJ student with a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA is eligible for an executive board position. CUB Director must have one years’ experience on the executive board.

3. CUB-RAT

3.1 Can my friend’s band play at a student band night? They don’t go to TCNJ.
Only TCNJ students are eligible to play on student band or soloist nights. One band member must be a TCNJ student to be eligible. We do accept demos from off-campus bands, but the process is much more selective.

3.2 How can I submit a demo tape to be considered for student band night or any other RAT show?
You can mai2l a demo tape to:
CUB-Rat
P.O. Box 7718
Ewing, NJ 08628

TCNJ students may drop off demos at the CUB office which is on the 2nd floor of the Brower Student Center in the Office of Campus Life.

4. CUB Events

4.1 I want Dave Matthews Band to come here. Why haven’t you gotten them?
When CUB choses what acts to bring, there are many factors to consider:
1.) Price (Artist Fees and Additional Costs)
2.) Availability
3.) Venue
4.) Diversity
5.) Campus Interest
You are welcome to suggest event ideas at our Suggestion Box but please understand that we may be unable to bring that artist here.

4.2 I am a student with a disability. Can I still attend your events?
CUB will make every effort it can to accommodate students with disabilities. Please contact us prior to purchasing a ticket about special needs.

4.3 My organization is interested in co-sponsoring an event with CUB. What should we do?
Contact us at x2467. You can either come to one of our meetings to make a presentation or give the information to the director who will present it for you.
