Bonnie and Ralph were at the Ring for 2 days before and after the 1967 GP, exploring the beautiful area around Schloss Nurburg.
This was during their 7 week European adventure through 7 countries.
Ralph did a few laps of the track the day after the race in a rented Opel Rekord.
Not as much fun as when he drove it in a BMW 5-series with their son Kurt in 1998!
Ralph and Kurt returned to the Ring in 2005 and son Douglas joined them as well.
Something we will NEVER forget
