AISJ offers on-site dormitory facilities for students. Each dormitory is equipped with a lounge, kitchen, and laundry room. Classes

The College of New Jersey offers an integrative educational experience at The American International School of Johannesburg (AISJ). In Johannesburg, a post-bachelor certification program in elementary or secondary education and/or a Master of Education are available. The certification program, which can be completed in two summers, is embedded within the master’s program.  We also offer courses counting towards principal certification for students who already have a master's degree.

Course work is offered in curricular blocks scheduled from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. during an intensive three-week session. Participation in several evening and/or Saturday morning seminars, research forums, and community-based activities will be required.

Courses

The integrative educational design of this program requires students to experience and examine education in a holistic fashion. To maximize the educational experience we strongly encourage students to enroll for all of the courses in a curricular block during the annual three-week summer session in Johannesburg, South Africa .

We recognize, however, that some students may wish to enroll in only one or two courses within a given curricular block or wish to take courses across curricular blocks. We will do our best to accommodate students' needs for this flexibility whenever possible.
