Calendar Spam Filter
INSTRUCTIONS:
-Log into Zimbra
-Click on the “Options” tab
-Click on the “Mail Filter” tab.
Any filters previously created will be listed.
-Click the “New Filter” button
-On the New Filter window, type the filter name “CalendarSpam”.
-Select “All conditions”
PART 1 of “All conditions” is the following:
- Click on the first down arrow and select the condition “Body”.
- Click on the second down arrow and select the condition "Contains"
- Type the match information in field. In this case it would be “Content-Type: application/ics ”. (Do not include quotations)
- Click
PART 2 of “All conditions” is the following:
- Click on the first down arrow and select the condition “From”.
- Click on the second down arrow and select the condition “does not contain ”.
- Type the match information in the field. In this case, it would be ".edu"
- Click
PART 3 of “All conditions” is the following:
- Click on the first down arrow and select the condition “Address in ”
- Click on the second down arrow and select the condition “From”.
- Click on the third down arrow and select the condition "not in".
- Click on the fourth down arrow and select the condition "My Contacts".
-Under "Perform the following actions:"
- Click on the down arrow and select the condition “Discard ”.
-Final touches
- Ensure that the "Active" box on the top right is checked.
- Click "OK" after confirming that your filter appears identical to the one displayed below.
