How do I defragment a hard drive?
Close all applications prior to running:
Note: This process may take awhile. You cannot use your computer while disk defrag is running.
- From the desktop, open the My Computer icon
- Right-click on the C: drive and open Properties
- Select the Tools tab.
- Click on the button 'Defragment Now'
