Faculty Profiles
The History Faculty at the College of New Jersey are teacher-scholars who are committed to undergraduate teaching. They pride themselves on close student-teacher interaction. They lead by example, with books published by university presses at Harvard, Cambridge, Duke, Princeton, Stanford, North Carolina, and Virginia, among others. Their fields of specialization enable the department to provide much wider global coverage than most undergraduate History departments, along with much greater depth in pre-modern as well as modern history. About half focus on the United States or Modern Europe, while the other half cover Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, East Asia, South Asia, Russia, the Ancient World, and Medieval Europe.
