Separation Procedures
Employees intending to resign from their employment status at The College of New Jersey are expected to do so by submitting their intent to resign in writing to their immediate supervisors. A courteous time frame of two weeks notice is preferred whenever possible.
Except in the case of resignation due to health or other reasons beyond the control of the employee, faculty members are expected to continue to serve until the completion of the academic year or for the term of his or her appointment.
Employees should contact the Office of Human Resources to set up an exit interview at which time the employee would be expected to return all property they possess belonging to The College of New Jersey.
