PROJECTS
Alternate Route Program Evaluation
January 2005 - July 2007
IeDea has been awarded two grants worth a total of $505,781 for the purpose of assisting the New Jersey Department of Education – Office of Licensure and Credentials’ (NJDOE-OLC) research on the current status of alternate route formal instruction programs operated by district consortia and colleges or universities. NJDOE-OLC assesses the impact of these programs on the performance of provisional alternate route teachers employed in school districts across the state of New Jersey. Funds for this initiative are provided by the United States Department of Education Teacher Quality Enhancement Grant Program, a federally funded state project that offers states a unique opportunity to support efforts to redesign teacher education.
