WELCOME CLASS OF 2010!

We'd like to welcome you to TCNJ! As part of Welcome Week, JSU/Hillel is having a few events specifically for the class of 2010.

On Thursday, August 24th, in the Student Center room 210, there will be a social. It's just a very casual get together to meet some new people, have some snacks, etc. Everyone is welcome so bring some friends from your floor!

Then on Friday, we have a Shabbat Dinner and services in the Student Center room 202. The services are at 5 and the dinner is at 6. There will be good non-Eickhoff food, which is definately a plus! We hope to see you there!

Holocaust Remembrance Week---November 7-13:

This coming week, we will be having several events to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust.

• Tuesday, November 8th---8 pm---Holocaust Speaker---Music Building
• Thursday, November 10th---9 pm---Showing of Life is Beautiful---TW
• Sunday, November 13th---8 pm---Off-Campus Kristallnacht Service (RSVP required)---meet behind Wolfe

Be sure to check out the posts along the walkways between the Student Center and Green Hall commemorating the victims of the Holocaust.

Recap of this weekend's events:

This past Friday, we traveled to Princeton University to have services and dinner at their Center for Jewish Life. The Princeton students were very welcoming; some new friends were made from all over the US, even Texas! We hope everyone who came out Friday night had a good time meeting new people and satifying their stomachs.

On Sunday, a few of us, as well as a student from the International Club, went apple picking. And no tree climbing was necessary! Didn't get a chance to go? No worries! We picked some apples for JSU, and on October 2, at 1:00 pm in the Spiritual Center, we will be baking Apple Crisp and Challah. So come out for some tasty (and FREE!) treats!

WELCOME BACK!!!

Welcome back to JSU/Hillel at TCNJ for the Fall 2005 semester. We hope that everyone's classes have been going well so far and would like to let you know about one of the first major events here on campus: The Activities Fair Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, from 12-3, outside between the Student Center and Kendall, all the organizations on campus will have booths set up. JSU/Hillel will be there, sporting our lovely JSU shirts. We're giving away some free stuff, so stop by and visit us!

Later that night, at 8:30, we have our first event, a pizza social in the Cromwell main lounge. Come enjoy some FREE (yes free) pizza and meet other Jews on campus.

Passover is here and that means a ton of FREE JSU events:

• Wedneday, April 27th---6 pm---Passover Catered Dinner (RSVP only)---New Res Main Lounge
• Thursday, April 28th---6 pm---Matzah Pizza---Spiritual Center

Some reminders about upcoming events:

Family Shabbat Dinner tomorrow night! Services are held in the Spiritual Center at 6 pm. Afterwards, you and your family are invited to join the JSU Family for a dinner in Decker. (needed to RSVP) 

Elections are this Sunday at 7:30 pm in the Social Sciences Building Room 323

Last JAM event of the year! Need a good laugh? Come to tomorrow night's "Stand Up For Peace" Comedy Show featuring comedians Scott Blakeman and Dean Obeldallah. Oh, and did we mention it's FREE!!!
