Law, Film and Literature

Course Description

Using film, fiction and non-fiction, this course examines the ways in which law, lawyers, judges, trials, juries, and other aspects of the legal system have been depicted by creative works.  Aspects of law and the legal system are often used as metaphor for other aspects of life.  A variety of social issues are reflected in creative literature and film.  This course analyzes selected examples of literature and film that use law and the legal system in these ways.
