Using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Text to Speech technology, combined with an audible user interface, Kurzweil 1000 converts the printed text into speech that can be read aloud.

This software offers a combined scanning and reading application that coverts printed text into audio feedback.
IBM Home Page Reader - LIB72, LIB73, LIB101, LIB102 - Reference Room
IBM's Home Page Reader assists blind and low vision users in experiencing the Internet.
ZoomText Xtra - LIB70, LIB92 - Reference Room; Room 4 - Instructional Technology Services
The ZoomText Xtra software package, developed by Ai Squared, consists of a screen magnifier that provides 2x to 16x magnification and a fully integrated magnifier and screen reader designed specifically for the low-vision computer user.

Prisma is a full color video magnifier with a adjustable camera stand and integral table that allows ranges of magnification.
