Coverage is from 1968-present and includes crime trends, crime prevention and deterrence, juvenile delinquency and justice, police, courts, punishment and sentencing.  Available in print on the index tables in the Reference Room..

NCJRS Abstracts-National Criminal Justice Reference Service Abstracts - A searchable database provided by the National Criminal Justice Reference Service.  It contains summaries of more than 150,000 criminal justice publications including government and research reports, books, and journal articles.  Over 1,500 fulltext publications are also available online.

The Law & Justice Databases page lists both recommended and related databases that will help you locate scholarly journal articles. The College of New Jersey Library subscribes to variety of journals (including electronic journals) in the field of criminal justice. If you know the Title of the Journal , you can check to see if we have a subscription.

Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics  REF HV6787.S68
A compilation of statistics from governmental and private agencies.  Information is displayed in tables, often by region, states, or cities.  Six sections include: characteristics of the criminal justice system, public attitudes toward crime, nature of known offenses, persons arrested, judicial processing, and correctional supervision.  An online version is updated throughout the year as new tables become available.
