Abrianeme Founding Sisters Fall 2001

***** Founding Mothers *****

Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Inc. was founded on November 21, 1981 at Rutgers University, New Brunswick as the FIRST Multicultural Greek Letter Society in the nation.. The founders were five women determined to establish an organization that united all women despite their race, creed or religion. It was their limitless vision that enabled these detemined women to break down barriers and build a bridge connecting women from all parts of the world. Hence our motto, "Mujeres Siempre Unidas" or "Women Always United."

******** Abrianeme Founding Sisters ********

Here at The College of New Jersey, eight women were in search of an organization on campus that would fill their thirst for diversity in the Spring of 2000. With a limited number of options, these women felt it was in their best interest to found a new chapter of Mu Sigma Upsilon at The College of New Jersey. With hard work and dedication, these women of diverse backgrounds inclusive of Egyptian, African American, Liberian, Italian, Puerto Rican, Jewish and Native American decent established the Abrianeme Chapter of MSU on March 16, 2001. It is with great pride they wear their title "The Epitome of Mu."
