Michael Conklin

Mr. Conklin is an Adjunct Instructor of Music at The College of New Jersey where he teaches:
In addition to his appointment at TCNJ, he is also on the music faculty of Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ where he teaches music appreciation, provides private instruction, and directs the music technology program.
Mr. Conklin has also done freelance research work and was a contributing author for the discography of jazz saxophonist, Lee Konitz, for an upcoming publication by Andy Hamilton (Durham University, UK) and the University of Michigan Press. He is also writing A Century of Change: Discovering a Musical Evolution of the 20th Century for Kendall Hunt Publishing Company. In 2006, Mr. Conklin received the Master’s of Art degree in Jazz History and Research at Rutgers University where his primary instruments were piano and voice. He studied with such scholars as Dr. Lewis Porter and Dr. Henry Martin.
