Ideablob.org
- Where entrepreneurs and small business owners have a chance to win $10,000 each month for being voted the best idea by visitors to the site. Think of it as an on-line American Idol for business ideas. Several universities have begun to use this site in the classroom. Some faculties are having their students analyze the viability of ideas proposed at the site using techniques learned in their classes. Others are having their students develop ideas, post them at the site, and actively learn from the feedback offered by visitors to the site. Several of the monthly $10,000 winners have been college students. The ideablob.com site is a good fit for todays college students who are active in social networking sites and prefer experiential learning. Credit to Jeff Cornwall, instructors@planningshop.com

Partnering with Public Relations Student Club
-
Many student organizations are eager to partner with Entrepreneurship programs on campus. If your campus has a Public Relations major it will often be affiliated with the national organization Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) (http://e2ma.net/go/1149349608/1042061/38151830/goto:http://www.prssa.org/).PRSSA has as a major initiative creating student-run public relations firms (http://e2ma.net/go/1149349608/1042061/38151829/goto:http://www.prssa.org/resources/200708firmHandbook.pdf) on affiliated college campuses. This canbe a great opportunity to createand runa PRSSA student-run firm on your campus. We have set up a partnership with the local chapter of PRSSA here at Belmont University (http://e2ma.net/go/1149349608/1042061/38151827/goto:http://www.belmont.edu/mediastudies/public_relations/prssa.html), which has proven to be mutually beneficial.
