Current Staff
Sharon Tharp
Editor-in-Chief
Sharon is a senior journalism major and communication studies minor. She has had the opportunity to intern at Marie Claire and CosmoGIRL! magazines, and hopes to make the move to New York City after graduation and land a full-time job. On campus, she is involved with the Signal and Ed2010@TCNJ, and freelances in her spare time. She enjoys the beach, good music and Barnes and Noble, and realizes that she comes off as a complete and total nerd.
Sean Cogan
Senior Editor/Business Manager
Sean is a senior journalism major, political science minor. He works very hard to do as little as possible. You may
remember him from such notorious long boarding falls as "the one
behind Green Hall" and "the tumble down by the Towers." He pretends
that he knows how to play volleyball and has, on occasion, played
volleyball more in a week than he slept. He has little to no ambition
but feels as though it adds to his charm.
Alex Seise
Production Manager/Features Editor
Alex is a junior Journalism and Professional Writing major and French Minor. He is a member of ED @ TCNJ, a French conversation hour leader, president and webmaster of the French Club and just finished an internship with the Philadelphia Inquirer. Alex's interests include writing, reading, designing, photography and all things creative and organized. His weekly column "DormSpace with Alex Seise" is featured in the Signal.
Andy Rhae
Public Relations Manager/Assistant Features Editor
Andy is a freshman double major in Communications and Journalism, with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. She would love to write for Vanity Fair or a like-minded publication [possibly on the west coast?], and travel the world to cover important news issues, so that the population might be informed about what's actually going on. For now, Andy is the Treasurer of Ed@TCNJ and PR Manager/Assistant Features Editor for Unbound, loves all things natural, and is looking forward to summer.
Kelly Nelson
Public Relations Manager
Kelly is a junior journalism major.
Kaylie Nelson
Health Editor
Kaylie Nelson is a senior journalism major with a minor in marketing. This
past summer, she was the interactive editorial intern at SIRIUS Satellite
Radio. Her favorite things in life are friends, family, Stephen Colbert
and mix tapes.
Kaitlin Tambuscio
Arts & Leisure Editor
Kaitlin is a sophomore journalism major with minors in Interactive Multimedia and Photography. This summer, she will be interning at Popular Photography magazine. She is a member of Ed@TCNJ, quite possibly the BEST club on campus. She cannot wait to graduate and hop the river (aka: move to the city). Kaitlin has a severe shopping addiction (just ask her bank account) and is obsessed with Seinfeld, her adorable puppy Kirby, abbrevs, and Adriana Lima.
Liz Hannah
Arts & Leisure Editor
Liz is a freshman psychology and english double major. Music is the most important thing in her life; Writing is a close second. Liz sometimes writes for the Signal's Arts and Entertainment section. She loves bands with girls in them, Sylvia Plath, and watching Inside the Actor's studio with Dave Chappelle.
Liz Carbone
Business and Government Editor
Elizabeth is a freshman political science major and is planning to minor in both biology and professional writing. She is a member of the Pre-law Society, Roots and Shoots, Ink, Debate Team, Ed2010@TCNJ and the honors program. Her favorite things include her friends, family, the beach and her amazing beagle Shiloh.
Jenny Smith
Lifestyles Editor
Jenny is finishing up her last year at TCNJ with a major in Communication
and a minor in Psychology. She looks forward to leaping into the world of
magazines upon graduating. She loves alliterations, mangos, and laughter.
Kerry Fiallo
Opinions Editor
Kerry Fiallo is a sophomore English major and journalism major. She
contributes to Unbound, the Signal and the Siren.
Kaitlin Tambuscio
Photo Editor
Monique Reuben
Copy Editor
Monique is a senior english major and journalism minor. She loves words, but loves them more when people use them the right way. She currently interns at Redbook magazine and interned there previously as an ASME intern during the summer of 2007. She hopes to make New York City her home after graduation and secure an EA position at a women’s magazine. She is a former president of Ed2010@TCNJ and has been involved with several other student organizations and publications throughout her college years. She likes to travel, listen to music, and prefers that people not bother her on Thursday nights. Why you ask? Because LOST is on, man!
Kelli Plasket
Copy Editor/Multimedia
Kelli is a sophomore interactive multimedia and journalism major. She is Web editor and a writer for The Signal, as well as an active member of Ed@TCNJ and the professional organization New York Women in Communications. Kelli loves writing and Web/multimedia design equally and hopes to do both by working for an online publication after she graduates.
Scott Kieffer
Copy Editor
Phil Swibinksi
Copy Chief
Phil is a senior journalism major and communication studies minor, trying to get ready for the real world. He has interned in public relations and helped to research a forthcoming piece in the Philadelphia Inquirer, and seeks a career in P.R., reporting or editing.
Nancy Sai
Nancy is a junior double major in Journalism and Women's Studies. She enjoys reading Vanity Fair and looks forward to the well-taken portraits gracing the covers every month. One day, she hopes to contribute to this magazine with an article on human rights-her passion.
Dan Tilden
Webmaster
Dan is a junior computer science major, and partially responsible for the mess that is Unbound's content manager. He enjoys creating half-baked solutions to problems instead of actually fixing them.
