Minutes - November 19, 2001

- Our December social event will be a dinner/get together at Dr. Knox's
  house on December 3rd.  This will be UPE members only and will be held
  in place of our last meeting of the semester.  We figure on meeting in
  Holman Hall at 7:30 PM or so and walking over most likely.  More details will be
  determined at next week's meeting.

- We also plan on holding a social event for the entire CS department next
  semester to try and get more discussion between students in the CS
  program.  We're figuring on holding a game night with a poker tournament
  and some other card games too.  We plan on discussing this more next
  meeting and next semester.

- We are in the process of getting speakers for next semester also.  We
  may be able to have another speaker on grad school come in, but we
  aren't sure of the interest due to it being past application deadlines.
  Christina may be able to get someone to speak on forensic computer
  investigations as it is an interesting field.  We also want to try to
  get the faculty to hold some sort of talk/presentation on what they
  research before registration next semester so that students can find
  mentors for res/pres.

- We will not be holding meetings on Mondays at 7 PM next semester since
  our President will not be able to attend due to a class.  We need
  suggestions from everyone about times they can meet since we want to
  increase attendance at meetings.  Please email upe@tcnj.edu by next
  Monday or come to the meeting since we will determine next semesters
  time then.
