  5. Define your goals (counselors available).
  6. Identify employers with whom you'd like to interview. Submit your resume to each online listing of interest.
  7. Take advantage of Interview Etiquette and Interviewing Preparation

The success of OCR depends on ALL participants adhering to strict deadlines. Keep this in mind throughout your participation in the program. Once you submit a resume you are expected to interview. If you have accepted an offer notify Career Services asap. You will then be expected to contact the employers which you have submitted prior resumes to relinquish your candidacy.

Types of Recruitment

Type 1 - Pre select Interviews

Participating employers select to interview candidates based on resumes, prior to their on-campus visit.

To Participate in pre select interviews you must:

  • Submit your resume on-line through lionspro
  • You will be able to view if you have been pre selected by selecting: "Your Personal Date" section in your LionsPro account in the "Pre select Sign Up," date range. Pre select sign up dates are found in the position description.
  • If selected, continue through this section to select an interview time. Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Review employer literature to prepare for the interview.

Type 2 - Resume Drop (Requests)

Employers interested in considering students for positions, but who are unable to commit to a recruitment date, may request resumes be sent to them.

Employers may view resumes throughout the listing time. The day after the last date to submit (event date) the resumes are forwarded to the employer.

If you are selected, you will be contacted directly by the employer for a telephone and/or site interview. Employers tend to contact candidates within two weeks of the event date.

Type 3 - Job Offers

Acceptance of a permanent job offer successfully terminates your participation in On-Campus Recruitment.

Upon accepting an employment offer, you should inform Career Services.

Please note that continuing to interview after you have ACCEPTED an offer of employment is considered unethical.

Students who are identified as continuing to participate in interviews after accepting an employment offer will be banned from all Career Services programs!
