(1975-) Provides citations with abstracts to the literature of political science and related fields such as international relations, law, public administration and public policy. It indexes over 1,200 journals from the international serials literature.

PAIS International (Public Affairs Information Service

(1972-) Indexes and provides citations and abstracts from the public and social policy literature of business, economics, education, health, law, international relations, public administration, government, political science, and other social sciences. Materials indexed are from all over the world and include journal articles, books, government documents, statistical compilations, conference proceedings, and research reports. Most records since 1985 include an abstract.

Congressional Research Service Reports

The CRS provide detailed background information for use by Congressional committees. Many of the reports are issued as committee prints and can be identified through Congressional Universe. The majority of the reports are issued as Major Studies and Issue Briefs , which are unpublished. However, see the sites below for web access to some reports.

CRS Reports on Legislative Process

These are reports from the CRS on House and Senate Rules, and include reports on the introduction of bills, committee and floor action, presidential relations and actions, and the budget process.
