FYE Housing Opportunities
Housing options available to first year students for the are as follows:
Travers and Wolfe Residence Halls
Floor Plan: Travers

Photo Gallery:

These two ten story high-rise residence halls are linked together and provide students with double rooms, each with a sink. These rooms are not carpeted; however, an 11' X 11' rug fits nicely in any room. Students in these halls can take advantage of the area's computer lab, dining hall and an Aerobics Center operated by staff from the Office of Campus Wellness. The linking structure between the towers is also the home of the T/W Main Lounge, one of the most reserved lounge spaces on campus providing first year students with easy access to a wide variety of programs and campus events. The floors are all co-ed, with two common bathrooms on each floor. The bathrooms, one for each gender, are secured with a combination lock to enhance the security of our residents, and are cleaned by the campus Building Services staff.
- Each room comes with a campus phone which can be used to make calls to any room or office on campus. The Office of Telecommunications can also provide students with a phone access plan allowing off campus calls to be made/received for an additional fee.
- There are two network ports in each room, allowing both roommates to connect to our campus' fractional T-3 ethernet connection with their personal computers.
- The rooms have two beds, two desks, two dresser/bureaus, two sets of wall shelves, and closet space for both residents. The beds may be bunked or un-bunked as the students of the room decide. The room does not come with any lamps, but the overhead lighting is bright enough for most residents. Residents are welcome to bring their own, non-halogen, lamps of course.
Special Note: Due to overwhelming demand for housing, some lounges have been converted to residential space. These bed spaces offer the same aforementioned amenities however the rooms are much bigger and offer accommodations for 4 residents. During the academic year, Housing Assignments will make every effort to move students into more traditional double occupancy spaces as vacancies permit. Approximately 5% of first year students will be placed in these lounges/Quads.
Cromwell Hall

Photo Gallery:
This suite style residence hall consists mainly of sets of 3 double rooms that share a bathroom. Cromwell Hall has six co-ed floors, with each complete suite being composed of a single gender. The rooms are not carpeted; however, an average room in Cromwell is measured at 10' X 16.5'. Since there are some rooms in Cromwell that have a slightly different measurement, we suggest taking specific measurements before purchasing a rug. Students in this hall can take advantage of the Residence Hall Association office, an organization of student leaders dedicated to the improvement of the residential experience for our residents. Cromwell Hall is also home to a large lounge space that is a frequently reserved space on campus providing first year students with easy access to a wide variety of programs and campus events.
- The rooms have two beds, two desks with hutches, two dresser/bureaus, and a closet unit for each resident. The beds may be bunked or un-bunked as the students of the room decide. There are also two lamps provided in the room, with spare light bulbs available through the hall office, but the rooms do not have overhead lighting.
Over the course of the summer, typically in late July to early August, all first year students who returned their completed housing application will receive their room assignment and roommate's name, address and phone number in addition to the required Welcome Week program information.
