Diverse Communities

The Sophomore Year Experience is designed to build on the relationships forged during their First Year Experience. As a result, our communities are made up of diverse groups of people who all have something to offer and something to share with everyone in the community.

Dedicated Leadership

In addition to student staff, our program is managed by a team of professional and graduate level staff. The residential aspect of the Sophomre Year Experience is managed by the SYE Area Director, who supervises the professional Residence Director staff, which oversees the individual buildings. The Residence Directors in turn supervise the graduate and undergraduate staff employed in their residence halls.

Strong Support Systems

Each floor in the sophomore year residence halls have one or two Community Advisors and some may also have an Assistant Residence Director. A brief description of each of our staff positions is provided through our Staff Directory.
