Girls Learn International

Girls Learn International is seeking interns to participate in a number of key research and program areas. Girls Learn International Internships offer college students a unique opportunity to develop an in-depth knowledge of global issues affecting human rights of girls, and the status of girls' access to education in developing countries. As Girls Learn International Interns, students will interface with leaders in the field of women's and girls' human rights, as well as educators around the world, and will participate in developing and implementing programs aimed at involving American middle school and high school girls in the efforts for global girls' education. Participants in the Human Rights Education Internship will have the opportunity to utilize this knowledge in the field, perfect leadership skills and gain hands on teaching experience.

Girls Learn International offers summer and mid-term internships as well as an ongoing Human Rights Education Internship. Internships are unpaid, although modest stipends may be available on an as need basis. College credit may be provided with approval of the academic institution. Summer and mid-term internships may be based in either New York City or Boston. Participants in the Human Rights Education Internship will be based in a middle school or high school within commuting distance to the intern's campus. Interns will report to the Girls Learn International Program Director.

Prospective interns should submit the Girls Learn International Intern Application Form, resume, college transcript, personal statement and three letters of recommendation (at least one from a college professor) to the address below.
