The Transfer Experience is a comprehensive program of academic and co-curricular activities promoting the successful transition of entering students to college life at TCNJ. Faculty, staff and students working together cultivate the intellectual, social and civic development that creates a challenging, yet supportive environment.

Announcements/Important Dates


Transfer Credit

  • Please make sure that you take your required placement test(s) prior to the Orientation Program.
  • View the acceptable tests and AP test scores accepted by The College of New Jersey.
  • If you are attending a NJ community college, you can now use NJTransfer to do your own credit evaluation.
  • Students who are transferring from New Jersey Community Colleges and wish to appeal their credit evaluation may visit the following website for more information. Transfer Credit Appeal Process

Transfer Housing

  • Transfer students are eligible to apply for college housing but are not guaranteed a space at TCNJ. Limited housing is available for transfer students.

Financial Assistance

  • Students who are transferring to TCNJ must complete either the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Renewal FAFSA. List The College of New Jersey Title IV School Code 002642. Upon receipt of the FAFSA the Office of Student Financial Assistance will review your information and begin the awarding process.
  • As soon as you become aware that you will receive an outside scholarship (an award from a high school, a local civic club or church, educational foundation, etc.), you must notify the Office of Student Financial Assistance: Students should submit the outside scholarship information electronically by accessing the form on the Scholarships page.

 


Health Services

  • All students taking classes at The College of New Jersey are required to complete and return the Medical Information Forms or MIF to the Office of Health Services. The MIF is mailed to new students with admission or orientation packets.
