  - ...with an admission fee so we can turn this into a fundraiser
  - If you can do anything even remotely impressive--something music
related, dancing, singing, yo-yo tricks, ANYTHING--you should sign up to
be a part of it.
  - more information will be available over the next few weeks

* Dr. Dobbs is a journal for programming. Dr. Depasquale has a few extra

free subscription online.

* WICS hosted FACTS
  - A speaker presentation by Christina Grape, a State Investigatory with
the NJ Division of Criminal Justice, Science and Technology Bureau. It's
on Friday, October 14th at 11:30am in HH 253.
  - A second speaker presentation by Laura George, VP of Information
Technology/Security & Privacy at Merrill Lynch. It's on the following
Friday, October 21st, at 2:00pm in HH 252.

* Community Fest
WICS has reserved two tables at Community Fest: one for LEGO mindstorms,
and one for friendship bracelet making.
  - VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED! YOU CHOOSE THE TABLE YOU WANT TO WORK AT! All
that would be required of you is to watch the tables--make sure the
little kids don't touch the Mindstorms and help them with the bracelets
if they need it.
  - The event is being held from 11am - 7pm in front of the Music
Building. You will NOT be asked to stay the entire time (though if you
really want to, you are more than welcome).
  - If you know you can help out: send an email to wics@tcnj.edu with your
name and the hours you will be there.
  - If you're not sure you can help or just want to play with the
Mindstorms or make a bracelet or two: stop by on Saturday!

* Advertisement: meeting times and locations will be posted on flyers
around campus soon.

* A new version of the ACM Website should be up in couple of weeks!

* Pick-A-Prof fundraiser: optimistically, a prototype will be available by
the end of winter break.
