[11.29.06] --The PHP workshop a couple of weeks ago was a success and we will most likely be continuing it next semester. Also, the Video Game-a-thon was a success. --The Society for Creative Endeavors (TSCE) will have a Final Fantasy Advent Children Showing at 8pm on Friday. --We are doing tabling on December 7th, 8th, and 11th, from 9 am- 5pm, and need volunteers to work the table during those times. If you do decide to volunteer your time, there are certain rules you must follow, such as no soliciting and no playing of music. Also, we are asking for anything that anyone would like to donate, such as handmade crafts and other creative things, that we may sell for this event. ACM would be very grateful for such support. --The Digital Fortress: Final Frag ’06 will take place on December 8th, from 5pm-12pm in the TW Main Lounge. This event, which will be a combination LAN and console game night, will have entertainment as a band has offered to play live. The entrance fee is $3 and those who arrive early to help set up will receive a discount and a slice of pizza and those who donate equipment will enter for free. --We also decided that our meeting time for the next semester will remain the same. For next semester, we have a number of ideas that we would like to implement, such as a Pi day celebration, a CSS workshop, a Linux workshop, movie nights, Tech Team meetings, and an outreach program. --Next week is our last meeting and we are having a Christmas party, where we will probably be playing video games. See you at next week's meeting. Genevieve |
