[4.19.06]

Hello everyone!

Since Bryce had work obligations today, I thought I'd send out the ACM minutes this week.

Here are the minutes for this week's ACM meeting:

* Total earned from the Geek Auction: $419.16! Great job, everyone!

* If you were bought at the Auction, try to get in touch with the person who bought you so that they can "cash in." If you are having difficulty getting in touch with them, email me or the ACM account.

* We are thinking of having at least one Geek Auction per year and
possibly two, one per semester. Some possible location ideas include New Res and Cromwell Main Lounge and the tennis courts. Any ideas about this are more than welcome!

* Other ideas for fundraising for next year include a pool tournament (we will have to organize a petition to get the tables in the Student Center) or a poker tournament. We must first look into the legality of a poker tournament with non-cash prizes. Another idea includes an old-style game night in the Centennial Main Lounge, utilizing the pool table and ping-pong table down there as well as an air-hockey table and old-school Atari games on the TV. Any other fundraising ideas are also quite welcome!

* The Trenton Computer Festival is coming to TCNJ this Saturday and Sunday. The link for the event is here(http://www.tcf-nj.org/tcf/content/default/site/?permalink=Home.html#).
Go there for ticket information as I'm not entirely sure I had the price right at the meeting. If there is enough interest, we might be able to go to this all together as a group some time Saturday or Sunday. This festival is a really good place to get bargains on computer parts and software and see some really cool old-style electronics, so if you have the time and are on this mailing list, chances are you'll want to go!

* The Silent Hill trip to the movies will be this Friday, April 21st. We will be meeting at the ATMs in the Student Center around 6:50pm. So far, it looks like we have two, possibly three people willing to drive. Bruno and Chris, if either of you can't make it or can't drive, please let me know ASAP. Even if you can't drive but want to come, please do! This will sort of be our last chance to all hang out until next year! Tickets will be $7.50 with a TCNJ ID when we get to the theater. Credit cards are accepted. Bring extra money or be prepared to charge more if you want food.

Welcome our new Exec board and officers! They are as follows:

Welcome aboard, everyone but me! I am not pathetic enough to send out a mass announcement welcoming myself, I swear. :)

That's all, folks! See you Friday!
