All newly hired employees must complete the training entitled, "TCNJ: Creating Our Inclusive Community."
Training Objectives
The objectives for Part 1 of the training session are:
- Identify key laws and NJ policies regarding anti-discrimination.
- Outline the complaint reporting procedure for discrimination claims.
- Discuss reasonable and appropriate accommodations in support of students with differing abilities.
- Outline the roles a supervisor must play in creating a work environment free of discrimination.
- Coach employees to avoid any behavior that might lead to harassment complaints.
- Model respectful behavior to those you supervise.
The objectives for Part 2 of the training session are:
- Recognize how individual differences impact group interactions.
- Discuss the impact of first impressions.
- Recognize how personal influences impact an individuals development.
- Generate ideas regarding how to effectively manage individual and group interactions.
