The College of New Jersey Kokikai Aikido club was founded in September of 1985 and received its charter in February of 1986. Instructors are Professor Art Hohmuth (3rd degree black belt) and Dick Davidson (3rd degree black belt). The College of New Jersey Kokikai Aikido Club is an certified Dojo of Aikido Kokikai International. The current president of the club is Senior TCNJ student, Anchuing Wang who has been with the club since his freshman year.
We would like to establish a growing Aikido class. You can help us by coming often and working hard, and enjoying the practice. So, with these notes, we extend our warmest welcome and support to you. *Each year in March, the founder of Aikido Kokikai, Shuji Maruyama Sensei instructs a 3 day winter camp held in the Lawerenceville area.
*Once or twice each year extra classes will be held at South Jersey or Princeton Area Dojo, taught by Shuji Maruyama Sensei.
*Other events include public demonstrations, rank advancement tests for continuous students, and weapons classes.
