During the Harlem Renaissance, African Americans renewed their spirits and showcased their talent to the entire world, including the White Americans. Although African Americans have shown their talent throughout the years, it was this re-birth that allowed them to have a home, Harlem, and some type of organization. Within the Harlem Renaissance different fields flourished in the African American community and amongst those were the arts, specifically, the artistic productions of Aaron Douglas and Richmond Barthe. Throughout their existence, these two prominent African American artists created beautiful pieces of art that captivated and invigorated not only the black but also the white community. Thus instilling in the world a sense that you can succeed as long as you are confident and you do your best. Although the Harlem Renaissance consisted of many important people, undoubtedly, Aaron Douglas and Richmond Barthe were two of the most prolific figures of the time.
