All About Me . . .
My name is Trista Altstadt. I have wanted to be a teacher for about as long as I can remember, but one thing about my dream has changed. Originally, I wanted to teach fourth grade, but somewhere along the line, I realized that I would miss the interaction with the older students who I could have more in depth conversations with about literature and life in general. At this point, I made the decision to switch to Secondary Education and focus on English Education.

Travel
I traveled to England and Scotland in the
Summer 2006 and visited many of the great places described in literature
including Shakespeare’s birthplace, the home of the Bronte Sisters,
Whitby where Bram Stoker wrote Dracula, and the great cities of London,
England and Edinburgh, Scotland. I have traveled out to the Western United States and up and down the East Coast several times. One of my life’s goals is to visit all fifty states. As of now, sixteen down, thirty four to go. |
