Class of 2012
Lions Legacy, Student Giving

Fellow Sophomores,
Each year, the members of the senior class leave a gift to the College before they graduate, such as benches, clocks, etc. Instead of leaving an ordinary gift, we'd like to give the College something extraordinary that will truly make a lasting impact on the College – something that will leave our class legacy in perpetuity AND help future TCNJ students.
That’s why we have started a Student Giving Campaign at The College of New Jersey. Members of each class have come together with goals to raise money for our College, to encourage school spirit, and to create a tradition of giving that will last long after we graduate. Our class can help to accomplish these goals if members contribute to the Class of 2012 Fund, which will become a permanent scholarship upon reaching endowment level.
State support and tuition make up a relatively small portion of TCNJ’s total funding. In 1999, TCNJ received 53% support from the state. Now, in 2009, we receive only 37% from the state. The additional necessary funds are raised through donations from alumni, students, parents, friends, and corporations who believe in TCNJ and want to help continue the College’s success.
Remember, one of the main goals of the Student Giving Campaign is to raise our giving participation, so a gift of any size has a tremendous impact. We are hoping that every member of the class of 2012 can give $10, but any amount you can give will make a difference!
Click here to give online with your credit card, debit card or to print a giving form. Please join us in our ground breaking effort and give a gift today to support TCNJ!
Sincerely,
Class of 2012 Student Giving Committee
PS – This is a first at TCNJ! If you are interested in giving a gift to the College, please contact Alexis Gettings in the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs (gettings@tcnj.edu).
