TCNJ Art Gallery, Holman Hall Will Host Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition
Opening Reception: May 2, 2008, 6-8pm

EWING, NJ … The College of New Jersey’s graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) students will present Untitled (19), a thesis exhibition, from April 30 - May 14.

The College Art Gallery will be open to unveil these works on Wednesday, April 30 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a cookies and punch reception during the Celebration of Student Achievement, and will be open for the exhibition’s official reception on Friday, May 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be extended viewing hours after the reception on May 2 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. during the Festival of the Arts student/alumni celebration. The exhibition will offer an inviting atmosphere with works from TCNJ’s graduating fine and digital artists, encompassing various media such as: video projection, photography, drawing, painting, collage, fiber arts, sound installation, sculpture, and digital media. The opening reception will feature light refreshments and a student jazz band in the Holman Hall atrium. Students will be present at the opening and available for discussion about their work throughout the evening.

Untitled (19): 2008 BFA Senior Thesis Exhibition is produced almost exclusively by the BFA students of 2008. Students are responsible for the conception and production of the show, from funding to construction to the layout and organization of the gallery. The 19 students in the show are: Sara Bennett, Steve Buzash, Ashley Carr, Devon DeMarco, Jeffrey Farinaro, Justin Girard, Erin Hough, Chris Jicha, Adrian Lazaro, Jessica McGovern, Peter McGrath, Myles O’Conner, Kimberly Pugner, Robert Rudolph, Rachel Sandyck, Kasey Tararuj, Dana Vachon, Kristin Wade, and Sara Wentworth. The College Art Gallery is located on The College of New Jersey’s campus at 111 Holman Hall and is free and open to the public. Viewing hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with reduced hours May 13-14, 1 p.m.-3 p.m. only.
