
Anita Allyn is Associate Professor of Art at The College of New Jersey where she has taught since 1999. She is the coordinator for the Digital Arts Major and Photography Area. She has a MFA from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and a BFA from The Kansas City Art Institute. She was awarded a student scholarship to study in Aix-en-Provence, France and has studied abroad at Brighton Polytechnic, England.
Anita's works include digital video, digital photography, performance, and installation. Her single channel video screenings have included The Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia, Pioneer Theater in New York, United States Super 8 and Digital Video Festival, Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Israeli Center for the Arts. Her photography and installation works have been exhibited at such venues as The Art Institute of Boston, Atlantic Center for the Arts, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the 2003: International Photography Biennial, Columbia, South America. The work from the Photography Biennial is part of the collection of the Centro Colombo Americano Museum.
She is on the board of the regional Society for Photographic Education and participates nationally. Her memberships also include The College Art Association and The Women's Art Rescue Squad.
