Marcia Taylor received Bachelor's degree in Art Education from Moore College of Art, Master's in Art Therapy from Hahnemann Medical College and Ph.D. in Behavioral Science from Florida Institute of Technology. She is a Registered and Board Certified art therapist having worked with children in special education, adults in clinical settings and inmates in correctional facilities. She has presented juried papers at national and international art therapy conferences. She has written journal articles and book chapters about her art therapy experience. Her own art work has focused on watercolors, fibers including paper weaving, and chine colle monoprints. She is currently serving as Associate Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences.
