Human Factors Manikin Assignment

TST 161 - Creative Design - Dr. Asper

Study the anthropometric data provided in the information sheets. Develop your
personal anthropometric data and record your dimensions on a "stick figure".
Using these dimensions, construct a two dimensional, ¼ size, personal mannequin
(manikin) similar to that shown below. This personal "manikin" will be a side
view, with movable parts (also similar to that shown below). Actual (full size)
length dimensions, from joint to joint, will be shown on each part.

Use the "Work Station Dimensions" from the handout, and your personal anthropometric
data, to sketch the design of the "Perfect Computer Work Station" for your manikin.
Mount your mannequin on the "Chair" using the pins at the hip and shoulder. The
next page illustrates the minimum elements and dimensions that your work station
should provide. Use the "Work Station Dimensions" from the handout, and your personal anthropometric data, to sketch the design of the "Perfect Computer Work Station" for your manikin. Mount your mannequin on the "Chair" using the pins at the hip and shoulder. The next page illustrates the minimum elements and dimensions that your work station should provide.

Note: you may need a larger piece of paper for this sketch.
