Undergraduate Summer Research Internships
Offered at New Jersey Medical School; guaranteed admission for SMEDs
You need to look at the list of projects being offered, then contact the faculty sponsor.
He/she may ask you for an interview.
After the interview, he/she will basically tell you if you are accepted or not.
Then, fill out the application form.
There is a $3,000 stipend. Some projects have more sponsors – more money!
$1,500 will be paid when you start; the rest you will receive when you hand in your research abstract at the end of the internship.
Internship is 8 weeks long.
OR.. ** you can basically go to any university’s website and look for undergraduate programs.

Clinical research in a stroke lab – excellent for anyone interested in neurology and clinical research.
8-10 weeks. $100/week
Application: submit a full resume and a research paper from past (prefers people with previous research experience)
Students take a lot of initiative – make protocol, hypotheses, calling subjects, write own paper …

About getting recommendations: usually need two

Transcripts – go to Green Hall to get your transcript sent; find link on TESS “Official Transcript Request” under “Student Records”
