A teacher should continuously
help students make connections between
previous knowledge and current topics.This is the only way to cultivate the
conceptual understanding that is required for students to
apply their knowledge while solving new problems.
It is important to

interest throughout the instructional period.
Communicating about mathematics solidifies pre-existing
knowledge and creates new understandings. Various forms of
group work should be incorporated into every
classroom, whether it's to solve problems or to "discover" a
concept.
