PC and ME

My family got its first computer when I was in second grade. My little sister was born the same year. So my dad got a computer while my mom got a baby.

Math Blaster and Typing Tutor 7 were my favorite games on the new machine. Typing Tutor made me a quick typer, and I impressed many of my teachers. In eight grade I won software for my typing skills. It was a Creatacard program that allowed me to make my own greeting cards.

Today I use the computer for typing papers, communicating via email and instant messenger, downloading photos, and keeping addresses organized.

At school I often feel like I'm a slave to my computer. I'd rather be outside than use the computer, but it is a useful tool.
