Math Topics: Integers and Order of Operations
I was lucky enough to have the chance to
complete several lessons during my Internship I
experience including a lesson in Math Topics, a senior level math class. I
completed the lesson
using a PowerPoint presentation as seen below. The lesson consisted mainly
of review for the students
so the PowerPoint allowed me more time to explain and provide examples, rather
than writing
definitions and rules on the board. I gave the students a handout of the
slides with certain things such as
key ideas and examples, left blank so that the students would be responsible for
filling in this information.
I developed the slides so that the animation allowed me to show examples, the
answer for these
examples, and various other information at particular points in the
presentation. Please note that on
the attached PowerPoint, the animation is only supported and can be viewed in
Slide Show format. The
link for the Slide Show format can be seen on the bottom right hand side of the
page.
