SYNOPSIS:
The sponsor invites undergraduates interested in a career in
biological research to apply for positions in the summer intern
research program. The program is designed to provide support and
supervision for promising undergraduates to spend a summer as a member

Are you interested in heart or stroke research? Would you like to work in a
cardiovascular research laboratory this summer? Are you going to be a
junior or
a senior in fall 2008?
If yes, then this program is perfect for you! This program is looking for
motivated students who are interested biomedical research, particularly in
cardiovascular areas. Students are assigned to leading research
laboratories in California, Nevada, and Utah for a ten-week period (~40
hr/wk) during the 2008 summer. Students will work directly
with experienced scientists on projects ranging from basic molecular
research to direct physiological studies. A stipend of $4,000 will be
provided.
