UMDNJ – Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
This program provides the opportunity for undergraduates interested in Ph.D. degree programs and a career as a scientist/researcher in biomedical sciences to perform supervised research in Biochemistry & Medical Biology, Bio Terrorism, Cancer Biology, Molecular Genetics, Stem Cell, and more. (June 5 – August 11, 2006 )

Eligibility:    Students must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Stipend:      $3,500 for 10 week program, housing available if needed
Deadline:   March 1, 2006.  Early applications are encouraged.

University of Virginia--Mountain Lake Biological Station
A ten-week program in which students carry out independent projects in collaboration with research biologists. Runs May 30 - August 4, 2006.

Eligibility:     U.S. citizens, undergraduate students enrolled in a degree program.
Stipend:      $3,640 plus room and board.

Medical University of South Carolina
The 10-week research-training programs provide unique opportunities for undergraduate students to become directly involved in cutting edge research.  The awards are preferentially made to highly motivated undergraduate students who are considering a career in basic science research.  Minority students are particularly encouraged to apply.  (June 5 - August 11, 2006).

Eligibility:     Must be considering a research career in basic science.
Stipend:       Not less than $3,000
