•  Organismal Biology Option course (for biology majors and minors)

•  Honors Program course (for all majors)

•  Liberal Learning Natural Science Laboratory course (for non-science majors)

•  Liberal Learning Global Perspectives Civic Responsibility

•  Environmental Studies Concentration Capstone course

•  Language Across the Curriculum credit

( A one credit (1/4 course unit) Languages Across the Curriculum independent study may be added to this course for those students who have intermediate level proficiency in another language and who wish to complement the work in this course by utilizing their language skills.
