Cellular and Molecular Biology

The explosion of information that has occurred over the last 50 years in the areas of cellular and molecular biology is truly staggering, and the discoveries that have been made have revolutionized the way we understand biological systems. To provide students with a foundation for these immense areas of knowledge, all students in biology are required to take Eukaryotic Cell Biology (BIO 211). The department then offers a rich array of courses that explore the cellular and molecular bases for biological processes in all organisms.
