Scenes from the Biology Department's Senior Picnic, 2008

Faculty members of the Biology Department were the "hot" recipients of warm accolades and a "zesty" roasting at the department's Senior Picnic held Friday May 2 at Rosedale Park. The well-appointed park and picnic-perfect weather provided an ideal situation for the annual gathering of department seniors, faculty and staff.

Roasting was not limited to the hotdogs and burgers, however! After ample time for eating, drinking, talking and laughing, several students gathered everyone together for a student-written "tribute and reflection" directed at the faculty members who have taught and mentored them during their four years in Biology at TCNJ. Despite some rather "peppery" language, it was all in well-intentioned and good fun, and even the faculty seemed to "relish" the celebration!

Of course, these seniors may still receive the "just desserts" when exam and final grades are given in the days ahead.....

A great time was had by all! We wish the best to all the students - including those outrageous roastmasters!
