Payments New to Vendors

All new vendors must fill out and sign a Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification form issued by the IRS. This form, a W-9, must be completed before the vendor can be entered into the PeopleSoft system, and ultimately paid. For individuals, the Tax ID number is generally the individual's social security number. Partnerships and other business organizations are assigned a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) by the IRS.
